December is a festive month par excellence, punctuated by the first snowflakes , the installation of decorations and the setting up of the traditional Christmas tree . Christmas and the end of year celebrations are slowly approaching. Bringing with them their share of magic, the magic of New Year’s Eve , the opening day after day of the boxes of the Advent calendar , the fire crackling in the fireplace , the sweetness of a hot chocolate. We begin to think impatiently of the sumptuous meal that awaits us, to salivate at the idea of tasting a delicious piece of Yule log or even to flush out THE gift that will be all the rage during this festive evening. Besides, are you more of a gift team at the beginning of the evening, after midnight or on the morning of the 25th (too many balls !!)? Anyway, what better than a little photobooth animation to keep an unforgettable memory of this event? To do this, we have concocted an activity for you to create your 100% DIY Christmas photobooth accessories . We don’t promise you Santa Claus , but a fun animation that is sure to please children, for a wonderful evening with family or friends!
To make your Christmas photobooth kit
Here are the items and accessories you will need:
- The accessories to cut, to download thanks to the button below
- About ten cardboard sheets thick enough for a printer
- 24 wooden sticks of about 20 to 30 cm
- A pair of scissors and possibly a small cutter
- A glue gun
1. First step: Print your photobooth props file
Launch the printing of your Christmas photobooth accessories kit, after downloading the pdf file provided. The latter is made up of about ten pages, each decorated with one or more funny elements.
Ideally, use a sufficiently thick card stock, in order to facilitate the holding of the various accessories. For example, we opted for a grammage of 300g/m2.
If your printer settings allow it, adjust the settings to select a full image print. This allows the visuals to be centered on the paper, as they can sometimes overflow and be cut off when printed (it would be a shame!)
2. Second step: Cut out your Christmas photobooth kit
This second step can be done using a pair of scissors, not too big to make it easier to cut out finer elements. The support and assistance of your little elves is of course strongly encouraged!
In order to detach the interior areas that are a little more difficult to access, the use of a small cutter is possible. You just have to remember to protect your table or worktop, and keep an eye on children who love to play with forbidden objects!
3. Third step: Glue a wooden rod on each of the elements
Equipped with your glue gun, stick the wooden sticks on the photobooth accessories. Some larger items may require multiple dots of glue for better grip.
The sticks are ideally placed on the external parts of the accessories (left or right, at your convenience). This allows an easier grip and especially not to end up with a stick in the middle of the face!
Be careful not to burn yourself, the glue heats up quickly and dries relatively quickly too!
